Pyrite is an Iron Sulfide, Its metallic shine and brassy yellow hue give it a resemblance to gold, hence the nickname it is given 'fools gold'. The name Pyrite is greek for 'firestone', because it was believed that Pyrite, a sparking stone, held fire in its core.

These stunning clusters have a variation of crystals most being from 3 to 5mm however some also have cubes up to 1 cm. A few have tiny pockets of quartz growth and some have Galena growth on the surface. They have a beautiful lustre and some have consistent formations on both sides, making them even more special.
